What I collect
The only personal data this site collects is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to my mailing list (see below).
Mailing list
If you subscribe to research updates, your email address is collected and stored by EmailOctopus, the service I use to send occasional emails about new papers or substantial research writing. I don't use your email address for anything else or share it with anyone. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and your address will be deleted from the list. The subscribe form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, so on pages showing the form Google may process your IP address and browser information and set its own cookies; see Google's privacy policy.
What my hosting provider collects
This site is hosted on Netlify, which may collect basic server logs (such as IP addresses and browser information) for security and performance purposes. I don't have access to this data and don't use it for analytics or tracking.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies of its own, and doesn't use cookies for tracking or analytics. The only exception is Google reCAPTCHA on the subscribe form, which may set third-party cookies from Google to prevent spam signups (see the mailing list section above).
If you email me, your email is handled by ProtonMail. I store emails as needed to respond to your enquiry and maintain our correspondence.
RSS Feed
The RSS feed (/rss.xml) doesn't collect any data. Your RSS reader fetches updates directly without tracking.
Third-party links
This site links to external websites (Google Scholar, UCL, LinkedIn, etc.). Those sites have their own privacy policies which I don't control.
